Book review: London Stitch + Knit

Date: 6th January 2016 | Category: News

This useful book by Leigh Metcalf is both a handy reference tool for navigating the crafter’s London and an irresistible source of inspiration. The images, illustrations and quotes are beautifully presented and make the reader instinctively reach for their hooks. London Stitch + Knit features over 40 fabulous gems, from famous department stores such as Liberty, to bijoux yarn boutiques like Loop and Nest and bargain fabric shops such as A to Z Fabrics. It also has an additional online resources section, which will ensure many a lost hour browsing the internet to bookmark new favourite blogs and sites. A must read for any crafter and/or Londonphile. Forget the city guide, this is a backpack essential for any craft-lover’s trip to the big smoke. £16.95, Black Dog Publishing
