They might be fiddly at times, but there’s little that compares to the love a child showers on a favourite teddy or cuddly friend, and little as satisfying as seeing someone’s face light up at something you’ve made.
The designs in this book are all sure to make the day of some toddler or small child, and there’s a great teddy/lovey concept to the designs that kids will love. The book contains five patterns for small blankets, and 20 adorable amigurumi characters. Each of these can be worked on their own, or the tops of the toys combined with the blankets to create “loveys” – a combined toy and comfort blanket perfect for a child to fall asleep with or carry around wherever they go. There are suggestions of which blankets will go best with which teddies – and co-ordinated colour patterning – but you can always choose your favourites and mix and match as you wish. The patterns all come with charts and clear, close-up photography shows off the details of the design. Amigurumi include sweet Ceri the panda, Roy the rhino and Cindy the mouse, and even little boy and girl designs. This is an adorable collection perfect for creating sweet designs children are sure to love.
