Fun and Funky Wool Show

What’s a great way to banish the January blues? Head to the first wool show of the year, of course! Waltham Abbey Wool Show is back on Sunday 21 January with beautiful yarns, accessories and handmade wool and felt items. Also, enjoy demonstrations of spinning, rag rugging, weaving and wire knitting and sign up to fun workshops on Tunisian crochet, crochet mandalas and tapestry crochet, Dorset button posy brooches or spinning on a drop spindle. The theme of this year’s competition is Best Funky Footwear (socks, slippers, leg warmers), so bring along your handmade creations! Also, bring your latest project and sit and natter with other like-minded folk. Any yarn, crochet or knit pieces can be donated to the Knit for Peace charity on the day.
