Mother India's Crochet Queens united over 2000 women between the ages of 8 and 85 to crochet the largest ever crochet blanket!

Measuring an amazing 11,148.5 m² (120,000.98 ft²) the project took 6 months and set a new Guiness World Record for Largest Crochet Blanket, smashing the previous record of a 3,377-square-metre blanket held by a South African group.
In a Facebook post, project initiator and crochet enthusiast Subashri Natarajan said; "Our ultimate goal of our mission to donate to NGOs has been fulfilled with the help of our Tamilnadu police department," with 8,034 blankets being distributed to people in need.
