Have you met Bert?

Date: 5th August 2015 | Category: News

"Join in the journey
Of my friend Bert
Whose legs are so short
His behind drags in the dirt

His body is orange
His wings are too small
But that will not stop him
Not one bit, not at all

Ol’ Bert he loves to travel,
You might think it odd,
But here you’ll see proof
In the tales of Bert Abroad!"

If you haven't met Bert yet, allow me to introduce you... Bert is a big, orange, crocheted bird who's been traveling the globe, sharing his poems and photos of his adventures along the way!

From Los Angeles to London and even to The Louvre, Bert's travelled further than most birds (crocheted versions at least!) and now his biggest adventure is about to begin.

Bert's brilliant journeys, poems, anecdotes and photos are being made into a beautiful children's book, detailing the many wonders of the world in a fun and innovative way.

On one of his first outings Bert was able to visit Stonehenge:

"Bert’s first adventure

He jumps on the train
It’s off to Stonehenge
With no sign of rain

The place is amazing
Bert loves the history
Stonehenge is just filled
With such great mystery

He wonders how the stones
Got into this formation
Merlin? Maybe Druids?
Or alien creation?

No matter how it arrived
The site can’t be mocked
Bert loved Stonehenge
He even said it rocked"
