Special Preview: Mobius Cowl

Date: 9th December 2014 | Category: Issue 61, Preview

Reversible Mobius Cowl by Deborah Stuart
(pattern featured in issue 61 of Inside Crochet, on sale 19 December 2014)

This clever Mobius strip means both sides of the tweedy, textured Tunisian crochet design are on show.

● Aran weight yarn, 50g
Yarn A: Purple x 2 balls
Yarn B: Light Blue x 2 balls
● 8mm Tunisian hook
● 4.5mm hook
● Tape measure
● Yarn needle
Any aran weight yarn will work for this pattern, but choose contrasting textures to make the most of the tweed effect.
Work 13.5 sts and 12 rows in Tss patt to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 8mm Tunisian hook, or size required to obtain tension.
Tension is not critical for this pattern.

Finished cowl measures 105 x 21.5cm/42 x 8½in.

Coming from a long line of talented crafters and needlewomen who invented their own designs, it was only a matter of time before Deborah did the same. An enthusiastic crocheter, knitter, sewer and jewellery maker, she enjoys designing items that are quick, practical and stylish.
