Sunset Sweater by Emma Friedlander-Collins
Find the pattern in issue 77 of Inside Crochet magazine
A simple spring sweater inspired by the colours of the sunset and night sky.
MATERIALS
â— Jarol Heritage DK, 55% wool/25% acrylic/20% nylon, 100g/250m/273yds
Please note: Unfortunately there was a small error in the printed pattern. The yarns in bold should be listed like this:
Yarn A: Gold x 1 ball
Yarn B: Pretty Coral x 1 ball
Yarn C: Spice 150 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Wine / Magenta 143 x 1 ball
Yarn E: Damson 135 x 1 ball
Yarn F: Burgundy 153 x 1 ball Yarn E: Damson 135 x 1 ball
(Small amounts only needed of yarns A-F)
â— Sirdar Snuggly DK, 55% nylon/ 45% acrylic, 50g/165m/179yds
Yarn G: Charcoal 138 x 3(4, 4, 5)
â— 4mm hook
YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any DK weight yarn to achieve a similar effect. The graduated yoke is perfect for using up leftover yarns and could be worked in a variety of DK wool mixes.
TENSION
Work 17tr and 10 rows to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 4mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
