Featured alongside a detailed tutorial on broomstick crochet, Pauline Turner's stockings design was an instant hit. Designed to be versatile, we envisioned them paired with with an A-line skirt and boots or heels and a mini for the more daring!

Broomstick crochet

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
(After stretching) To fit slender leg (average leg, large leg).
Length, all sizes – 70cm/27½in.

This can be shortened or lengthened at the calf or thigh by removing or adding a row of repeats marked by **.

YARN USED:
Debbie Bliss Rialto Lace, 100% Merino, 50g/390m/427yds
Colour: Purple (20) – 2 balls

NOTIONS:
3.5mm and 4mm hooks
Two broomsticks (25mm knitting needle or equivalent)
4m hat elastic
