Earlier this month, Dorling Kindersley books released a colourful new crochet guide, which contains everything you need to get started, and beyond, from the basic chain to advanced techniques such as colourwork, Tunisian and Broomstick crochet. There are over 80 cute and modern projects included, an astounding number, which means there is sure to be something for everyone. The book is laid out thoughtfully with beginners in mind, providing a simple project next to each new technique so that you can try your hand at what you have learned straight away to perfect the skills. Each project has helpful tips and some step by steps for making, plus suggestions for yarn substitution.

Inside Crochet readers will be especially pleased to know that many of the patterns are designed by our own contributors, amongst them Emma Varnam, Vicki Brown, Tracey Todhunter and Ali Campbell. The striking cover design is even created by our very own editor, Claire Montgomerie.
