Have you noticed how, especially at this time of year, the natural world seems to change so rapidly? Each day brings a new leaf unfurling, the daylight hours lengthening by another fraction; even the air we breathe seems fresher. 

The ancient Japanese calendar was divided into 72 micro seasons, each lasting just five days, and today some people still observe this traditional kyureki system. April and May bring the shunbun (vernal equinox) and risshun (beginning of spring), so here at Inside Crochet we’re enjoying our own little micro season in our fresh air issue.

With wisps of wind and blue skies in mind, our designers have come up with some ethereal makes, capturing the essence of this mini season.
