There’s a slight chill in the air on my early morning dog walks and it makes me smile. I yearn for natural shades and new patterns to try… Autumn is most

definitely on the way and this is always the season when I feel at my most creative.

There’s no denying that this year things will be different. We’re usually

getting ready to head up to Skipton and enjoy the most wonderful weekend at Yarndale. I send the children back to school and then all of a sudden I’m in woolly heaven. Nothing is quite the same this year, sadly. However, I’m still determined to capture the joy that I get from this wonderful craft of ours. Choosing a pattern, finding the right yarn and then mulling over shades is a ritual to be savoured, and I know I’m not alone in this.
