MATERIALS
â— Debbie Bliss Eco Baby, 100% cotton, 50g/125m/137yds
Yarn A: Mallard 039 x 1 ball
Yarn B: White 001 x 1 ball
â— 4mm hook
â— Stitch marker
â— Toy stuffing
â— Yarn needle
YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any similar DK weight yarn; try cotton for firm texture or wool-based yarns for a softer toy.
TENSION
Work 10dc and 11 rows to measure 5 x 5cm/2 x 2in using 4mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
MEASUREMENTS
Finished bear is 20cm/8in tall.

PATTERN NOTES
The bear’s body is made in two halves of contrasting colour, finished off with hand embroidery. If you’re adding stripes you could try making rows of crocheted chain stitches with the hook through the fabric rather than using traditional chain stitch embroidery.
