Chunky Sedge Stitch Mitts by Red Sparrow Crochet

A super-simple and super-cosy pair of mitts, made with the lovely textured sedge stitch.

MATERIALS
● Jarol Heritage DK, 55% wool/25% acrylic/ 20% nylon, 100g/250m/274yds
Yarn A: Gold 140 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Charcoal 138 x 1 ball
● 5mm hook
● Yarn needle

YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any DK weight yarn held double or any aran to chunky weight yarn held singly to achieve a similar effect.

TENSION
Exact tension is not essential for this design.

MEASUREMENTS
Finished mitts are 18cm/7in long, and 23 (25)cm/9 (9½)in in circumference, to fit small/medium (medium/large) women’s hands.
