Chunky Wrap Cardigan

Super chunky and textured, this cardigan can be layered or worn simply as a jacket to create a fashionable look for winter.

MATERIALS
● Debbie Bliss Roma, 70% wool/30% alpaca, 100g/80m/87yds
Shade: Steel 03 x 7 (8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 11) balls
● 12mm Tunisian hook (with cable extension)
● Large press stud fastener
● Large button/toggle
● Yarn needle
● Stitch marker
● Spare 12mm hook for casting off sts

YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any super chunky weight yarn to achieve a similar effect.

TENSION
Work 9Tps and 9 rows to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 12mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Tunisian Purl Stitch (Tps): With yarn at front of work, insert hook into the vertical bar from right to left, yoh, pull up a loop.
Increase (Inc): Insert hook where indicated, yoh, pull up loop.
Tunisian Simple Stitch 2 sts together (Tss2tog): Insert hook under the first and second vertical bar, yoh, pull up loop.
Standard Return Pass: 1ch, *yoh, draw through first 2 lps on hook; rep from * until 1 loop on hook.

PATTERN NOTES
The jacket is worked from the bottom up in one piece, then divided for Fronts/Back. The sleeves are worked separately and sewn in. A row of slip stitch worked on the surface, close to the Front/ Neck edge, is used to give a finishing effect.
The “wrong” side is worn on the outer side.
