Hilo Water Carrier

Hilo Water Carrier by Jane Howorth (pattern featured in issue 67 of Inside Crochet magazine)

The tapestry crochet gives this water carrier strength, while the short handle makes it easy to slip it over a bike handle or your wrist.

MATERIALS
● Rowan Softknit Cotton, 92% cotton/8% polyamide, 50g/105m/115yds
Yarn A: Tea Rose 576 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Sunset Red 582 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Willow 587 x 1 ball
● 3.25mm & 3.75mm hooks
● Yarn needle
● Dressmaking pins

YARN ALTERNATIVES
Any DK weight yarn can be used for this pattern. Choose a cotton or cotton blend yarn for easy washing.

TENSION
Work 18dc and 20 rnds to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 3.75mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.

MEASUREMENTS
Circumference: 21cm/8¼in.
Height: 17cm/6¾in.
Handle length: 24cm/9½in.
To fit standard 500ml water bottle.
