Sari Ribbon Bag

Issue: 136

Sari Ribbon Bag by Lindsey Newns

Find the pattern in 136 of Inside Crochet magazine.

Inspired by the imperfect nature of recycled sari ribbon, the natural drape of the material is highlighted with long loop stitches, which are then cut to create pretty tassels.

MATERIALS
● By Bella Designs Recycled Sari Silk Chiffon Ribbon, 100% mixed recycled fibres, 100g/50m/54yds
Shade: Silver Sage x 3 skeins
● 7mm & 8mm hooks
● Circular bag handles, 15cm/6in diameter
● Stitch marker
● Large eye yarn needle
● Iron (optional)

YARN ALTERNATIVES
A ribbon yarn, raffi a or t-shirt yarn calling for an 8mm hook would also be suitable for this design, although may give a different drape.
