Watermelon Bunting by Claire Montgomerie (pattern featured in issue 67 of Inside Crochet magazine)
A fun twist on regular triangle bunting, this makes a bright and fruity summer decoration.
â— Yarn Stories Fine Merino DK, 100% Merino wool, 50g/120m/131yds
Yarn A: Fuchsia x 1 ball
Yarn B: Spring Green x 1 ball
Yarn C: Leaf x 1 ball
â— 3.5mm hook
â— Assorted black beads
â— Toy stuffing
â— Stitch marker
â— Yarn needle
â— Sewing needle and matching thread
Any DK yarn will substitute for this design. Each slice takes approximately 10g of yarn.
Exact tension is not essential for this pattern, but ensure you crochet tightly to hide the toy stuffing.
Each slice is approximately 12cm/4¾in long. Bunting can easily be made longer by making more slices or adding more chain sts in between each slice when finishing.
