‘It’s a fun space where we can work on personal crochet, knitting, sewing, or
embroidery projects,’ says Luna. ‘I’m passionate about keeping the craft alive
within our generation and creating a community where knowledge and materials
can be exchanged.’
For one of Luna’s university course projects, the brief was to choose an architect’s sketch for a building that was never built, and recreate the structure using their own choice of materials.
‘The sketch I chose to work from is Antoni Gaudi’s Colónia Güell church and I knew I wanted to use yarn,’ says Luna. ‘Gaudi’s work is typically highly detailed and using a combination of crochet and knitting I knew I could create an impression of these architectural details.’
