When it comes to Christmas we prefer home-made to shop bought. If you're anything like us than you'll be busy thinking up more decorations to add to your (already full) collection this year, so here are some ideas to get you started.
Baubles and tree decorations
Have a collection of shop-bought baubles? Wrap the in your favourite coloured yarn, or cover them with small ball cosies to give them a slightly more personal touch.
Alternatively, make your own like Tracey Todhunter has in issue 36. If traditional baubles aren't your thing, what about Sara Sinaguglia's fabulous snowflakes from issue 47 (below)? They can be used to dress your tree, adorn handmade crackers or as embellishments on stockings, gifts or cards. Be warned though, they're addictive to make!

Other decorations:
Paper chains have long been a staple for those looking to brighten up
a room at Christmas, they're cheap, easy to make, and every one is
different. If you love the look of the traditional paper chain but want
to update it a little, try out Claire Montgomerie's fantastic free
pattern below.
