Regular Inside Crochet designer Joanne Scrace has published “Riley & Saunders”, a pair of foolproof designs for comfy socks that work for every possible size.

“The designs came about because my students at The Sheep Shop wanted to learn how to crochet socks,” Joanne says.
“I didn’t think crochet socks worked well. I found them stiff and uncomfortable.”
So Joanne set out to create two foolproof patterns for hardwearing crochet socks that offer a soft, cosy fit.
“The Riley & Saunders collection is great because you have a choice of two yarn weights and every size you could possibly need from babies to adult male,” she explains. “Once you are confident in the techniques and stitch pattern you can go ahead and make them for all the family! Saunders is most suited to welly or bed socks, while the Riley design is a little more refined and fits well into shoes.”
