Stylecraft launches an exclusive Crochet-a-Long

Stylecraft is very proud to announce a major collaboration with one of the UK's top designers - Jane Crowfoot, starting in April 2015 and running for 3 months and available on the Stylecraft website.

Jane has created a beautiful crochet blanket in one of Stylecraft's most popular yarns, Life DK, from a palette of 11 shades. Her design is heavily influenced by ‘Botanicals' which is one of the big fashion and interiors trends for Spring Summer 2015 and features rich colours in bold florals.

The blanket is based on the idea of a beautiful, ornamental Lily pond complete with water lilies and embraces a whole range of techniques. "I have designed the blanket for crocheters of all levels. We will be starting with basic skills and building to more complex stitches as their skills develop throughout the crochet-a-long," Jane explains. The project will measure approximately 1m square and is perfect as a lap blanket. The crochet patterns will be issued in 8 fortnightly parts over 4 months as free downloads from the Stylecraft website. Crocheters can sign up to the Stylecraft database so that they never miss a part.

Annabelle Hill, Stylecraft's Sales & Marketing Director and a keen crocheter herself, can't wait for the project to start. "We have worked very hard to develop yarns that are perfect for crochet. We are delighted to have been able to create this special Crochet-a-Long with Jane."

 The Stylecraft Crochet-a-Long launches on 7 April 2015 and Jane will be hosting a workshop at the Stylecraft mill on 15th May 2015. Crocheters keen to take part can visit the Stylecraft website to keep tabs on the event as it develops.
