Last winter we launched a mystery blanket pattern by Vicki Brown,
which you are continuing to make and send us pictures of as we write!
In fact, it was so popular that we received requests for more, and so this summer we are bringing you a gorgeous lightweight and lacy project, designed by Inside Crochet regular Emma Varnam, that is just perfect for some alfresco hooking. Starting you off slowly, and ensuring that you will be able to take this project anywhere this summer, the first section consists of just one small pattern for a lacy motif made in the round.
This modular approach to the mystery project means it is perfectly
portable, great for taking on trips to the park or beach, or for working
on while travelling. It also means that you can decide on the size of
the project as you go. Who knows, if your hands are itchy while waiting
for issue 55, your scarf might turn into a blanket!
The wrap is made from a gorgeously summery palette of shades in
fabulous Bergère de France Coton Fifty yarn. Each motif can be worked in
slightly different colours to the next, which will result in a stunning
wrap, great for wearing in the sunshine.
The scarf to be unveiled in
issue 56 has 18 of these first motifs in total, so get hooking to
create your pile ready for issue 55!
