Time to reflect

"I am stepping down as the editor of Inside Crochet from issue 81. I have had such fun working with the team and contributors over the past four years and enjoyed meeting and hearing from lots of our readers along the way. I would like to thank you all for helping to create a beautiful magazine which I am extremely proud of, but the time has come to step back a little to concentrate on my own designs and my
family. I will continue to style the photoshoots and contribute designs but will be handing over the editorship to our fabulous current deputy editor Rhian Drinkwater, who has lots of exciting new ideas for Inside Crochet. I can’t wait to read it and will still be very excited at the sound of the mag dropping onto my doormat each month. I know you all will be too."

We asked Claire: Which has been your favourite issue to work on?

"It is hard to choose a favourite issue as generally I always love the latest one that comes through my letterbox the best! However a few stand out, I loved the last two I edited, 79 and 80, as the themes I chose are great fun and the projects that were delivered from the inspiration are fabulous, plus who wouldn't want to spend a day on the beach shooting them all?! A rare sunny shoot day also helped to deliver a real drop of sunshine to the pages and the beach huts we shot are beautiful (with a huge thanks to The Little Beach Hut Company on West Mersea, Essex).

I also love issue 70, I adore autumn and this issue has a strong, colourful and autumnal feel. The projects and photography in that issue are stunning and I had great fun styling the halloween items - Emma FC's day of the dead dress up is just glorious!
Plus issue 58 - I love anything Scandinavian and the designers really produced some gorgeous pieces for the nordic, wintery theme.
