The second Waltham Abbey Wool Show on 18 January was a great success. Held at the Marriott Hotel, Waltham Abbey, and opened by our own editor Claire Montgomerie, the show had a great selection of hand-dyed yarns, kits, patterns and accessories for sale plus demonstrations by the West Essex and
East Herts Spinners, Weavers and Dyers Guild. Claire helped judge the Funky Bag competition, which was won by Victoria Robertson with her rosette bag in red, white and blue. Victoria was particularly touched by the win as this was her first crochet project.
She took up crochet after her Nan, an avid crocheter, died last year, and obviously inherited her talent for it!
The third Waltham Abbey Wool Show will take place Sunday 17 January 2016.
