The big reveal...

Annelies Baes’ stunning patchwork blanket comes together this month as we show you how to attach the assorted blocks and finish them neatly. The positioning of the motifs creates a striking pattern, while the thick edging frames the geometric arrangement of shapes and colours to produce a final blanket that has a nod to a homely heirloom quilt, but with a totally contemporary feel.

This throw has a classic, stylish appeal and thanks to the quilt-like appearance, it also has a comforting familiarity meaning it is perfect to use in many different ways, from an adorable baby blanket to an up-to-date bedspread, or even a comforting throw to cosy under on the sofa.
