Yarn used:

Stylecraft Special DK, Stylecraft  Life DK, Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake DK, DMC Petra No 3/5

Notions:

• 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm and 4mm hooks
• Yarn needle
• Thread needle
• Sharp, small scissors
• Small pieces of dowel - 1cm, 1.5cm and 2cm, or similar sized pen/biro
• Wire suede brush or similar
• Sewing machine threads to match
  

Tips:

Cut a 2inch / 5cm window in a piece of card and use this to mark the corners for the granny squares. (Place it on the wrong side of the animal and mark corners with scrap yarn). Make sure the animal are straight on the granny background and ensure you use the right number of chain stitches for the foundation loops as each animal is different.

You can use your favourite textured stitches to make a field, just make sure the stitch count (repeat) fits into the granny bit.
