This impressive looking sun hat is simple to make and works up surprisingly quickly.
MATERIALS
â— Jarol Crochet Cotton (Crochetta), 100% cotton, 60g/366m/400yds
Shade: Ecru x 1 ball
â— 2mm hook
â— Spray starch
â— A balloon
TENSION
Work 32tr and 14 rows to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 2mm hook, or size needed to achieve tension.
MEASUREMENTS
To fit: XS (S, M, L, XL).
Finished head circumference: 40.5 (46, 51, 56, 61)cm/16 (18, 20, 22, 24)in.
As a guide, it will fit baby (child, teen, small adult, large adult).
Choose a size slightly bigger than your head, measured around head, just above your eyebrows.

PATTERN NOTES
This hat is worked from the crown down, with RS always facing. Turning chains count as a stitch throughout.
