Fruit & Veg Plant Sticks by Lynne Rowe

These fun sticks are ideal for seed pots – mark the day the seeds were planted, or add a personalised message if planting as a gift!
MATERIALS
â— DMC Petra No 3, 100% cotton, 100g/280m/306yds
Yarn A: Red 5321 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Brown 5938 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Green 5907 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Ecru x 1 ball
Yarn E: Orange 5608 x 1 ball
Yarn F: Yellow 5742 x 1 ball
(Note: Only small quantities are needed of each colour)
â— 2.75mm hook
â— Plastic seed sticks, approx 15cm/6in long
â— Brown and white seed beads
â— Sewing needle and thread
â— Hot glue gun
â— Paper and double-sided tape
â— Spray starch
YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any 4ply weight cotton to achieve a similar effect.
TENSION
Exact tension is not critical for this pattern.
MEASUREMENTS
Motifs are approximately 6cm/2in high.
