MATERIALS
â— Stylecraft Alpaca Tweed DK, 75% acrylic/20% alpaca/ 5% viscose, 100g/240m/262yds
Shade: Blush 1668 x 1 ball
â— 4mm hook
â— Stitch marker
â— Tape measure
â— Yarn needle
â— Scissors
YARN ALTERNATIVES
Any DK weight of yarn worked to the same tension would work for these socks, but choose something with some natural elasticity.
MEASUREMENTS
One size, to fit a woman’s shoe size 5–6.
There is a good deal of stretch in these socks. The sample shown measures 20 x 10cm/8 x 4in for the foot and 23 x 9cm/9 x 3½in for the ankle section.
Note: The size and length of the socks are easily adjusted.
DESIGNER BIOGRAPHY
Coming from a long line of talented crafters and needlewomen who invented their own designs, it was only a matter of time before Deborah did the same. An enthusiastic crocheter, knitter, sewer and jewellery maker, she takes inspiration from the glorious countryside around her home in the Vale of Glamorgan and enjoys designing quick, practical and stylish items.
