Inspired by the 16th century Iznik tiles of the Rüstem Pasha Mosque in Istanbul, the red beads on this cushion add texture, detail and a little bit of magic.

â— Rowan Handknit Cotton, 100% cotton, 50g/85m/93yds
Yarn A: Atlantic 346 x 5 balls
Yarn B: Sea Foam 352 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Turkish Plum 277 x 2 balls
Yarn D: Bleached 263 x 1 ball
â— 4.5mm hook
â— 825 red silver-lined seed beads, size 6
â— Cushion pad, 48 x 48cm/ 19 x 19in
â— Sewing needle and thread
YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any DK/worsted weight cotton to achieve a similar effect.
TENSION
Work one square to measure 8 x 8cm/3¼ x 3¼in using 4.5mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
MEASUREMENTS
Finished cover measures 48 x 48cm/19 x 19in.
