Lazy Daisy Sun Top
Upcycle an oversized t-shirt to make this gorgeous sun top or dress.

Adding a crochet yoke to a t-shirt gives a modern twist and, as t-shirt fabric doesn’t fray once cut, this project needs minimal sewing
skills and preparation.

MATERIALS
● DMC Petra 5, 100% cotton, 100g/400m/437yds
Shade: 5209 for child’s sundress, B5200 for woman’s t-shirt x 1 ball
● 2mm hook
● Old t-shirt
● White shearing elastic
● Co-ordinating cotton sewing thread
● Yarn needle for weaving in ends
● Sharp needle with large eye (for shearing elastic)
● Small sewing needle (for thread)

YARN ALTERNATIVES
Any size 5 crochet cotton can be used. You may also be able to substitute a heavy laceweight cotton. Check tension carefully.

TENSION
Motif measures 5cm/2in across using 2mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
