Find the pattern in issue 61 of Inside Crochet.

A simple hairpin technique is used to create a vintage look cardigan, inspired by plaits and braids.

MATERIALS
● Excelana 4 Ply, 70% Exmoor Blueface wool, 30% British Bluefaced Leicester wool, 50g/159m/174yds
Shade: Dark Mandarin x 8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 11) balls
● 3.5mm & 4mm hooks
● Boye Expandable Hairpin Loom
● 13 (13, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14) 1.5cm/½in buttons
● Six large stitch markers

YARN ALTERNATIVES
You can use any 4ply yarn to achieve a similar effect.

TENSION
Work 18tr and 10 rows to measure 10 x 10cm/4 x 4in using 3.5mm hook, or size required to obtain tension.
