The Cottage Garden Issue

Well spring has definitely sprung now and we're heading into summer at quite a speed. We're making the most of little pockets of downtime and spending as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying the fresh, lush greens and the pops of bright flowers.

Inside this issue

Our designers have also been embracing the outdoors – we've been chatting to them whilst they've been hooking in their gardens and have interrupted much activity on the allotments! It seems many of us who appreciate the slow pace of crochet also recognise the simple joys of being surrounded by nature.

And so this issue is a tribute to both hobbies and we're celebrating the delights of a cottage garden, with more than a nod to '80s style brand Laura Ashley. Garments include the restrained elegance of Linda Skuja's Wild Roses Top and Cassie Ward's lightweight Chelsea Flower jumper. We've upped the florals for maximum impact on our gorgeous accessories and challenge you to find a prettier sun hat than Linda Modderman's this season! Team it with Millie Masterton's fabulous Wisteria-draped market bag or her bright floral collar. Or both!

Homeware patterns will bring the outside indoors with our cutest amigurumi Cottage Cat and happy little Sunflower, whilst we're delighted to share another Jane Crowfoot exclusive – turn to page 68 for her sophisticated set of cushions and a pretty little surprise!
