The Colour Pop Issue

It’s Thursday, it’s seven o’clock – it’s time that crochet went pop! If you’re of a certain vintage, then this reference will certainly get you excited for this ‘poptastic’ issue of Inside Crochet. Inspired by pop music, pop art and good old fizzy pop, we really think there’s something for everyone in this issue.

Inside this issue

Our model Kayt is channelling pop-art factory girl Edie Sedgwick vibes in both the bold Warhol Sweater by Cassie Ward and sugary sweet Fizzy Pop Mini Dress by Sam Sabido, while paying homage to the great music icon David Bowie with the Bowie Skirt, again by Cassie Ward.

We’re also loving the pops of colour like the neon flashes in Kath Webber’s Bad Nana Hood – a dayglow twist on a Dot Cotton favourite – and in Claire Montgomerie’s Neon Nights Socks, crocheted in a sporty style. Popcorns, puffs and paint-by-numbers also abound in Fay Dashper-Hughes’s beautiful blanket and Kwannie Cheng’s luscious lampshade, injecting colour into every part of the home this winter.

So what are you waiting for? ‘Pop’ on your favourite LP, open a bottle of cherryade and crochet up a pop classic. If you want your 15 minutes of fame (thank you, Andy Warhol), don’t forget to tag us in your makes on social media with #myinsidecrochet to be featured in the magazine and win a digital subscription.
