Our latest issue is now available
As autumn fast approaches we are looking at items that are perfect for layering, whatever the weather throws at us.
Early fall is the perfect time to work up light layering pieces such as the stunning kimono dress, designed by our very own Tech Ed, Charles Voth. You could also get a head start on the big freeze by beginning your winter crocheting, with cosy accessories like the cleverly shaped fingerless gloves by Shirley Macdonald.
September is a great time to look at the catwalks for inspiration, as the fashion magazines and fall collections are always full of cosy crochet and warm knits for the colder seasons. On page 44 we check out the hot looks for this year.
The Sixties look is always on-trend and we were inspired by iconic brands such as APC and Marni when we created our fun photo shoot with a nod to this exuberant era: see page 18. We also have fabulous small projects for beginner crocheters, from statement necklaces to pretty lavender bags. At the other end of the scale, we bring you interesting advanced tutorials this month, if you are up for a challenge as the nights draw in. Laurinda Reddig shows us how to work reversible intarsia and provides an oh-so cute yet poignant premature baby blanket project to practise it on. Finally, crochet connoisseur Pauline Turner has designed some beautifully patterned leggings for this issue and she lets us into the secret of using broomstick crochet in the round to make them. Enjoy!
