This issue we have some fabulous projects for you, many of which are also being added to our to-do queues!

Inside this issue

Last issue we showcased filet crochet in our techniques section and the filet love just keeps on growing this month, as we progress onto garments. We can never resist a shell top come summertime and love how the changes in the type of squares from mainly open mesh to filled in blocks creates a subtle and very pretty peplum at the bottom of this particular garment.

As the weather continues to improve, we are beginning to think about the great outdoors, and the Honeycomb bag by Nicky Hale is just perfect for fitting in everything you will need for a trip to the beach, amusement park or playground. The summery colour is a bonus and we love how the smart leather handles match impeccably.

If you haven't given tapestry crochet a go before, Claire Montgomerie's colourwork blanket is a simple project to try, and we have a step-by-step guide on page 84 to help you along the way. If you do nothing else this month, we encourage you to have a go at this satisfying technique, as it is such fun and hugely gratifying to watch the pattern emerge.
