The semi-solid yarn is perfect for the heavily-textured stitch pattern, with the mismatched metal buttons reminiscent of old jar lids used to seal home-made jam.

 

Materials

• Old Town Yarns Edinburgh Ghost Tweed DK, 100% wool, 100g/220m/240yds

Shade: Goth x 1 skein

• 6mm hook

• Four 20mm/¾in buttons

• Yarn needle

Errata

Rep Rows 2–5 until Cowl is approximately 4cm/1½in short of desired length, finishing on a WS row.
