The Keeping Toasty Issue

Brrrrr! Autumn has most definitely arrived now, and our wardrobes are once again filling up with layers and mitts to keep off the chill on the school run or when heading out for a walk.

Inside this issue

We've got plenty of projects this issue that fit that bill, too, with Sarah Reed's Tunisian Cluster Mitts a particular favourite of ours, hooked in a pure Merino that will keep hands toasty. Jennifer Reid's colourful floppy hat is also just what we need to keep the warmth in while not giving in to the upcoming winter just yet!

Our favourite project this issue though is Verity Castledine's versatile Isla design, which can be worked in a variety of ways to suit your lifestyle. We don't know whether to start with a simple top or a long-sleeved cardigan! Either way the lace design should work up quickly, so we may just make all three styles!

If you're not used to working with hand-dyed wool, check out our feature on page 24 for expert tips to getting the most out of these extra-special yarns.

Elsewhere in the issue, we've also got plenty of cosy homewares to snuggle up with as the weather cools try Loopsan's beautiful vintage-look Diamond Blanket, or Anna Meliksetyan's striking Bobbled Pillow for a touch of crocheted style to brighten up your living room.
