This bag is inspired by bargello, also called Florentine embroidery, in a retro colour palette as a nod to its popularity in the ’60s and ’70s.
Materials
* Rico Design Ricorumi DK, 100% cotton, 25g/57.5m/63yds
Yarn A: Ecru 054 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Midnight 035 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Orchid 016 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Saffron 063 x 1 ball
Yarn E: Purple 020 x 1 ball
Yarn F: Fox 025 x 1 ball
* 3mm hook
* Zip, 30cm/12in
* Two 15mm/½in D-rings
* Three 15mm/½in swivel snap hooks
* Cotton fabric, 23 x 32cm/9 x 12½in
* Sewing machine, or sewing needle and thread
Yarn Alternatives
As you only need between 16g to 25g of each colour, you could shop your stash for 100% cotton DK-weight yarn.
