Named after Lanzarote-born artist César Manrique, who is celebrated for his bold use of colour, this rainbow-hued blanket pairs traditional granny squares with dynamic corner-to-corner blocks. 

Materials

* Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran, 50% wool/50% acrylic, 100g/180m/196yds
Yarn A: Pillar Red 814 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Blood Orange 819 x 1 ball
Yarn C: Buttercup Yellow 822 x 1 ball
Yarn D: Lime Green 828 x 2 balls
Yarn E: Marine Blue 833 x 2 balls
Yarn F: Kingfisher Blue 834 x 2 balls
Yarn G: Pansy Purple 847 x 2 balls
Yarn H: Paper White 800
x 4 balls
* 4mm hook

You can use any aran-weight yarn to achieve a similar effect for this design. Please check tension if substituting yarn.
