Mortmain Mitts

Both modern and classic, these mitts are named after the family in Dodie Smith’s I Capture The Castle, and they’re sure to keep you warm in your own crumbling castle. 

 

Materials

* Onion Mohair+Wool, 50% mohair/50% wool, 50g/145m/159yds
Yarn A: Green 325 x 1 skein
Yarn B: Marzipan 329 x 1 skein
Yarn C: Light Purple 309 x 1 skein
Yarn D: Brown 322 x 1 skein
Yarn E: Golden 328 x 1 skein

* 3.75mm hook

* Stitch markers

Yarn Alternatives

A light DK-weight or heavy 4ply yarn with a halo would work well as a substitute in this design.
