This rustic cushion uses undyed and handspun yarns to show off simple stitches and the beauty of the natural British fibres. 

Materials

* Daughter of a Shepherd Heritage DK, 75% Hebridean wool/25% Zwartbles wool, 100g/233m/255yds
Yarn A: Dark Brown x 1 skein

* West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece Jacob DK, 100% wool, 100g/225m/246yds
Yarn B: Light Grey x 1 skein

* Garthenor Organic Number 3, 100% wool, 50g/115m/126yds
Yarn C: Guillemot x 2 skeins

* DK-weight scrap yarn, naturally dyed
Yarn D: Yellow (nettle) x 10g

* 3.5mm hook

* Cushion insert, 30 x 60cm/12 x 24in

Yarn Alternatives

You can substitute any DK-weight yarns for this design – we recommend cotton or pure wool for structure. You can also use a rustic unspun yarn such as Icelandic Plütulopi to get variations in texture.
