Based on the iconic carpet in Stanley Kubrick’s film The Shining, this hexagonal rug celebrates the earthy tones of the 1970s.

Materials

* Yarnsmiths Create Super Chunky, 100% acrylic, 100g/80m/87yds
Yarn A: Claret Red 6090 x 1 ball
Yarn B: Brown Bear 6070 x 6 balls
Yarn C: Burnt Orange 6120 x 4 balls

* 10mm hook

* Non-slip mat (optional)

Yarn Alternatives

Any super chunky-weight yarn would work with this pattern, or try a jersey or t-shirt yarn in variegated shades.
